Plasticum is to be integrated into the Weener Plastic Packaging Group as a subsidiary in a bid to exploit further growth.

Plasticum, which has 300 employees and four European production facilities, operates in the personal care, food and beverage and and pharmaceutical packaging markets.

The firm manufactures standard caps and closures for markets including food and beverage in four production facilities located in Tilburg and Ede (Netherlands), Waldkirch (Germany) and North Walsham (UK).

We are convinced that Weener‘s restructuring and the established development, sales and distribution resources have created the necessary conditions for continuing our support to our valued customers,“ the firms said in a statement.

Weener and Plasticum have been owned by the Lindsay Goldberg LLC private equity fund of New York since last year.
