Ahlstrom increases beverage materials prices

Ahlstrom increases prices to compensate for high level of raw materials and utilities-related inflation

Ahlstrom is to increase the prices on its beverage materials to compensate for the continued high level of raw materials as well as utilities-related inflation.

The materials, produced by the Food and Medical business area, will affect all beverage related products worldwide and will be effective for all orders placed as of 1 July.

The increase will be up to 5% depending on markets as well as the product and the agreements in place.

Beverage products include materials for teabags and coffee pods.

Food and Medical business area's main end-use applications are teabags, coffee filters, food packaging, baking papers, masking tape and surgical gowns and drapes.
