The Romaco Group is selling its stake in FrymaKoruma (AG and GmbH) to a new umbrella corporation within the DBAG (Deutsche Beteiligungs AG) portfolio called ProXES.

ProXES (Processing and eXpert Engineering Services) comprises Stephan Machinery (Hameln) and FrymaKoruma.

10-year partnership

Olaf Pehmöller, CEO of Stephan Machinery will now act as CEO for the ProXES Group.

We are very pleased we can now realise previously unknown possibilities within our core business with the help of ProXES and its clear focus on process technology,” he said.

FrymaKoruma and Stephan Machinery complement each other to the benefit of both companies. For our customers, we are developing a process technology group consistent with an enterprise size which can offer more attractive proposals and better quality.”

Paulo Alexandre, CEO, the Romaco Group said thanks to its 10-year affiliation, FrymaKoruma developed very well and it is pleased to give the company a ‘growth spurt’ in a group that specialises in process technology.

He added Romaco will now focus on its development in the pharmaceutical market.

The Romaco Group’s formal takeover of Kilian Tableting was completed on November 13, 2013. At the same time, Jörg Pieper, Gerd Hueffmann and Jens Carstens were appointed managing directors of Kilian.

Growth strategy

With FrymaKoruma and Stephan Machinery, we have two companies which are active on the market with strong brands and an excellent reputation,” added Dr. Rolf Scheffels, board member, DBAG.

“Combining the respective excellences is the logical consequence of our growth strategy which we will now implement in a focused way.”
