German beverage closures manufacturer, Bericap, has recently introduced a new closure for water cooler containers that is said to be compatible with most of the polycarbonate or PET 5-gallon containers on the market.
Bericap claims that thanks to its exclusive in-shell sealing compound liner, this closure guarantees greater tightness as well as the quality of the bottled water during its shelf life.
The system is made of several parts of low density polyethylene and optimises tamper evidence with a visible push-through tamper evidence feature. The hygiene of the whole packaging is reinforced by the unique in-shell compound and the manufacturing process : there is no wad and thus an effective cleaning and minimised contamination, the company claims.
Bericap's Valve Lock closure has been designed to bring tightness, tamper evidence, hygiene, organolepticity and convenience to the water bottle sector, qualities which are all aimed at extending the drinking life span of the product.
Bericap is the third largest closure manufacturer of plastic closures with 14 factories across the world, three on-going projects in Russia, Kazakhstan and Indonesia and a network of licensees and partners. The company also has two central R&D centres in France and Germany, three mould workshops in Hungary and Poland and several satellite R&D offices in its main operations.
