The Brenton Mach-4 continuous-motion case packer is a high-speed unit that can pack cases and trays in a range of patterns. According to the manufacturer, the machine is capable of handling small cases (four- and six-pack units) and fragile loads at speeds normally associated with more stable, sturdier items.

Users can pack up to 75 cases per minute, including wraparound, five-panel, RSC and harness types. In addition to cases, it can handle irregular or standard-shaped bottles and other containers, as well as loose packs and bundles.

Machine flexibility

According to Jason Enninga, Brenton’s vice president of sales, the case packer’s chief appeal lies in its flexibility in packing a variety of tray and case types.

Its enhanced handling and size capabilities make it even more versatile and efficient for customers packing fragile products,” he said.

Rapid changeover

The Mach-4 is designed to provide rapid, tool-free changeovers, automatic size adjustments, product simulation and unattended operation. Further, its “finesse” motion capability reportedly gives the machine a high degree of efficiency and aids in handling fragile products.

Additionally, the case packer’s front and rear containment system controls product groups during both leading and trailing motions until they are stabilized by the formed case. The machine also is said to offer small footprint and sustainable operation.

Brenton is one of several Pro Mach companies exhibiting at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2013, scheduled September 23-25.
