DuPont Packaging is calling for entries for its 27th Awards for Packaging Innovation, while Nestlé and Amcor Flexibles have joined an advisory panel for the programme.

Brand owners, retailers, packaging designers, converters and technology providers are encouraged to enter packaging that has been commercialized since January 1, 2013. There is no entry fee and DuPont materials do not have to be used.

Judges will look for technological advancement, responsible packaging, and enhanced user experience. The deadline for entries is February 2, 2015.

Winners will be celebrated at a ceremony on May 14, 2015.

Advisory panel

DuPont has also announced the formation of an Advisory Panel for the competition, which is made from industry, academia and media members.

Yasmin Siddiqi, DuPont Packaging Awards leader, said this will ensure the competition “remains relevant, fosters a better connection to the packaging industry, and builds on the program’s ability to serve as a catalyst to inspire discussion on packaging innovation.”

Industry members include Anthony Wong, vice president and general manager, China, Amcor Flexibles; and Philippe Roulet, head of Global Packaging, Nestlé, Switzerland.
