High Barrier/Dunnage Free Bags on show for packaging dairy products

The Bag in Box (BIB) product prevents content leakage and maintains shelf life for aseptic, hygienic packaging.

Thermal lamination

Laura Schneider, business development manager, BFCS, told FoodProductionDaily.com, the BIB bags are produced using thermal lamination technology and they complement its aseptic stainless steel containers.

“We have added a product to our portfolio Bag in Box bags (BIB) manufactured by Aran Packaging​,” she said.

“The product will increase our business two-fold, offering a secondary source in North America.Our main challenge today is keeping a handle on material cost and managing inventory levels​.”

BFCS is a  North American distributor of closed loop containers and systems, IBC’s, aseptic food containers, mini-bulk tanks, process tanks, UN approved containers, laboratory bottles and flasks, as well as wine making equipment and Bag In Box(BIB).

Closed loop systems

According to Schneider, there is a requirement in the industry for more closed loop systems to improve product quality and safeguard product integrity.

The high barrier bags come in a variety of sizes from 2liter (50gal) to 1,800 liter (475 gal) and they are compatible with external packaging such as drums, wooden boxes and plastic crates.

The thermal laminate films are designed for packaging edible foods with aseptic and non-aseptic options.

BFCS will be exhibiting at Lakeside Upper Hall E6858 at Pack Expo.​
