Aisapack says its Aisa can is targeted at processors in the juice, alcopop, sports, flavoured water and dairy markets.
The can is constructed of a high-barrier laminate tube affixed to a moulded neck, cap and base. It features a horizontal lap seal and welded rigid bottom. Processors can chose between using a plastic or aluminum laminate for the can. The can is flexible, shatterproof and re-closable.
"Aisacan is ideal for the hygienic, long-life packaging of all kinds of beverages," the company claimed. Aisapack said it will offer a full turn-key operation for processors as part of the company's attempt to ease its way into the beverage market.
The company said it is working with technical partners to develop a process for treating, filling, capping and packaging the can onto pallets.
The company suggests that the cans can be used to promote an existing brand in venues like sports stadiums, where glass is not allowed to be used.
Aisacan can be manufactured in 80ml to 500ml sizes with diameters ranging from 35ml to 63.5mm. Sleeve length ranges from 60mm to 190mm. Line speed can achieve 4,800 packages per hour.
