Linpac Group sells Ropak business for $265m
Linpac Group has sold its Ropak Packaging business for $265m to BWAY Corporation almost two years after rumours first surfaced about the firm being broke up and sold off.

Ropak is a North American producer of rigid, plastic shipping containers serving the consumer goods, food processing, construction, dairy and other industries.

BWAY Corporation, which was taken over by Platinum Equity in November, is a supplier of general line rigid containers.

The deal follows the sale of its Asia-Pacific arm, Linpac Viscount, in August to the Pact Group.

It sold its Allibert segment to private equity group One Equity Partners earlier this year.

FoodProductionDaily.com first reported on a possible sell-off in 2010.
