The company says it will display two new technologies for carton packaging at the show, as well as offering its existing ECT625 Carton Erector to European manufacturers for the first time.
According to Kliklok Woodman, the ECT625 offers a simple to use, top load, carton forming machine that can form trays or cartons with a hinged lid. The company designed the product with four turrets, which allow for a flat blank to be formed around them and then glued into place.
The company claims that the hot melt glue jetting system is one of the main advantages, compared to other carton erectors, which may use open glue pots, ensuring that there are no application daubers as the glue is contained in a tank, for a neater and cleaner process.
Kliklok Woodman says that research amongst their customers suggests they prefer the hot melt glue jetting system.
The company says that another advantage to the ECT625 is that it is simple to operate, not much more complicated than an on - off process. It is also easy to adjust the machine to accommodate different carton sizes.
In addition, the CELOX End Load Cartoner, designed by the company in an attempt to reduce interruptions to production and speed up the packaging process, will also be on show. Kliklok Woodman says that the product was also the result of consultation with its customers.
The company claims that the cartoner's icon-based colour touch screen interface can be used to control much of the packing process. The icons make it easier to use for the entire workforce, according to the manufacturer. A users' manual is accessible through the screen and new parts can be ordered through the system.
The company claims that changeover of components for different carton sizes takes no more than 5 minutes. It says that with other machines changeover might take about 20 minutes.
Another part of Kliklok Woodman's design is the patented 3-arm, servo-driven, rotary carton feeder, which it says can open lightweight and recycled cartons to better ensure that manufacturers meet sustainability standards.
The company says that the servomotors reduce the need for mechanical components such as chains and so reduce maintenance worries.
The CELOX also has a robust, stainless steel construction allowing access and improved sanitary conditions and can drastically speed up packaging by handling 300 cartons a minute, according to the company.
The manufacturer also claims that it will also unveil a new Carton Closer exclusively at the show.
