Husky said it has reached an agreement to sell closure injection moulding subsidiary Injectoplast to Alpla Holding.

The Canada-based company announced today the decision to off-load the unit, which it acquired in early 2011 as part of a deal to buy Austrian outfit KTW, had been made after potential conflicts with existing injection moulded customers came to light.

The divestment is expected to be completed before the end of the first quarter 2012. No financial details were available.
