Quadrant updates products in line with EU regulation

Post a comment18-Mar-2013

Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products (EPP) has updated its thermoplastic stock shapes in line with EU regulation.

The portfolio of certified materials, covering polyethylene (PE) through to polyetheretherketone (PEEK), has been refreshed to meet regulation (EU) 10/2011, which specifies stricter test conditions for migration.

The portfolio of more than 30 products was tested per Overall Migration Limit (OML) and Specific Migration Limit (SML) to measure the material inertness and provide a toxicological evaluation of individual substances.

Customers receive a Declaration of Compliance (Doc) according to EN 10204-2.1 that ensures the traceability of the plastic product from the stock shape to the raw material used by batch.

Quadrant also provides a Declaration of Compliance – a documentation requirement valid as of 2016 – that includes test conditions and the migration values of the materials.
