Tetra Pak deal for new filling line

Tetra Pak have signed a $2.5m (€1.9m) deal for a Saudi Arabian juice manufacturer to install and test the world’s first high speed Tetra Prisma Aseptic 200 sq filling line.

The filling line, for use in Al Rabie Saudi Foods Company’s production line,can package 24,000 juice cartons per hour and replicate three regular filling lines, allowing faster and more efficient use of resources, said Tetra Pak.

Jan Juul Larsen, managing director of Tetra Pak Arabia, said: "Tetra Pak constantly strives to provide customers with the most efficient technologies based on advances in the food processing and packaging solutions.

“The agreement between Tetra Pak and Al Rabie is another step supporting our vision to make food safe and available everywhere.”

Tetra Pak Arabia has a facility in Jeddah (KSA) and offices in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Yemen and supplied 6.7bn packs in Arabia last year.
