Treofan Group CEO steps down
Dr. Walter Bickel will take on the role of CEO alongside his existing position as CFO from March 1.
Vanacker took the helm at Treofan in September 2012 after moving from Bayer MaterialScience where he was executive VP and chief marketing and innovation officer. He replaced Giovanni Canetta,who was Treofan's interim CEO since April 2011.
“The owners regret Mr Vanacker’s decision. We would like to thank him for his successful strategic realignment of the Treofan Group, and we wish him all the best in his new professional challenge,” said Stefan Pfander, Chairman of the Board, Treofan Gorup.
Bickel joined Treofan in February 2014, joining him next month is Carolyn Wagner as head of the packaging business unit.
After graduating in packaging engineering, Wagner began her career at German carton board manufacturer Weig-Karton. In 2001, she joined SCA Packaging, initially as a key account manager. After SCA Packaging was acquired by DS Smith in mid-2012, she became managing director for the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region.
