Food X-ray number one inDenmark
A new X-ray system, used for inspecting food as it passes through production lines, was recently voted top of the class by the Danish Meat Association, according to the manufacturer.
Anritsu Industrial Solutions said that the new KD7400 Series beat five other X-ray systems based on tests for stability and ease of operation, as well as finding contaminants such as pieces of bone, plastic and glass in pork products.
Components of the X-ray include an accurate mass measurement weighing, power settings, rejects timing, and a full suite of 20 versatile imaging algorithms, the company said.
"Trusted and accepted by processors worldwide, more than 4,500 Anritsu x-ray systems have been installed to date," it added.
Air curtain blows germs away
Aleco's new jet stream air curtain acts as an air barrier, protecting machine entrances from contaminants, the manufacturer claims.
The curtain also protects against natural wind and any other sources of outside air, and are "prefect for food service and processing facilities," Aleco said.
According to the company, interested manufacturers will be provided with a machine tailored exactly to their needs, as the air curtains are available in any size from 36" up to 60".
"They provide precise, continual and uniform air distribution with adjustable air velocity through a directional plenum," Aleco said.
Steel separator steams machines clean
In response to manufacturers demanding an improved dust an dirt filter, TKV corporation designed a new separator-filter, the company said.
TLV said that the SF1 model includes a cyclone separator that emits steam to clean away dust, dirt, and condensate.
"Typical users include food manufacturers and breweries", the company said.
The easily-maintained system not only improves food safety, it also reduces operating and maintenance costs because of its one piece design, the company said.
