Pactiv has completed the acquisition of Winkler Forming for $72.5 million (€75.2m). The acquisition is expected to be accretive immediately.
Winkler is a leading thermoformer of amorphous polyethylene terephthalate (APET) for food packaging and had 12-month trailing sales of approximately $50 million.
The purchase of Winkler will afford Pactiv an opportunity to expand in the wholesale bakery, confectionery and fresh-cut produce markets.
Pactiv, a $2.8 billion company, is a provider of packaging solutions for the consumer, foodservice/food packaging and protective/flexible packaging markets. It currently operates 70 facilities in 13 countries around the world.
