SKF ChainLube cuts lubrication costs by 85%

SKF has launched an airless oil projection system which it claims can cut lubrication costs by as much as much 85%.

ChainLube is a contact-free lubrication system which minimises the accumulation of dirt that results in bacteriological risks, and eliminates wear of lubrication system components.

It can cope with both high and low temperatures, as nozzles and tubing are able to withstand temperatures up to 220°C/430°F, and down to -40°C/-40°F.

It is a contact-free lubrication system, supporting the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) process in safe food production, said SKF.

SKF said at 15kg it is lighter than equivalent units and includes stainless steel components such as nozzles and sensors.
