British equipment manufacturer Starfrost has relocated its UK headquarters and manufacturing base to a purpose built facility near Lowestoft, in Suffolk.

The company, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, develops IQF (Individual Quick Freeze) equipment for the food processing industry.

The 1,000sqm headquarters includes office space, a large engineering workshop and an equipment maintenance centre. There is also space available for future expansion.

The test facility can stimulate different freezing and chilling processes. This allows engineers to calculate the optimum conditions required for food products such as ready meals, meat, poultry, pizza, fruit and vegetables, seafood, fish, desserts and ice-cream.

Starfrost’s freezing and chilling range includes spiral systems, IQF fluidized tunnels and contact freezers.
