Tetra Pak and Vinamilk recently invited DairyReporter.com inside the Vietnam Milk Factory near Ho Chi Minh City – which it describes as a 'state-of-the-art' liquid dairy plant.

Dubbing it the ‘mega factory,’ executives from both companies say it is a showcase of automation and plant integration, offering increased efficiency and high levels of food protection.

With an investment of around $110m USD, the factory was inaugurated in September 2013. It will ultimately have the capacity to produce 800m litres of milk a year, to meet demand for diary in Vietnam and Asia.
