Venair unveils first conformable silicone hose for the food industry

The multi shape hose can be shaped in any form and it keeps its shape in extreme conditions, which eliminates the need to create silicon hoses of a specific shape.

Javier Sigler, R+D Manager at Venair,told FoodProductionDaily.com said the company is expanding globally and recently opened Venair TechLab, where products and applications are developed.

“The Food & Pharma sector is extremely demanding and competitive. There is a demand of hoses for connections in different axes and levels​,” he said.

“Vena MF-L allows you to shape it in whatever way you want drastically reducing the time and resources invested to develop special shape prototypes​.”

The company recently opened offices in Brazil, US and Turkey. It now has 15 offices and three production centres in China, Vietnam and Spain.

“Venair Group has become a global company and that is why we plan to expand at a fast pace in areas we do not have a direct presence​,” added Sigler.

“We expect to grow from 15 current offices to 25 in the next three years. This is also a challenge on different levels. We have to coordinate production, distribution and logistics to reduce the manufacturing time and delivery of our products​.”

Peaks up to 200°C

VenaMF-L is smooth on the inside and the outside and works in temperature ranging from -60ºC to 180ºC, with peaks up to 200°C.

The sleeves are double reinforced to prevent breakage or indentation in the silicone during installation.

Sigler said the main challenges were developing speicif products to meet demand and highly rigorous certifications or accreditations.

“We need to be constantly developing new technology to face this demand​,” he said.

“In five years’ time, the current trend will have changed a lot. At Venair, we are already dedicating efforts in products that contribute to make a more sustainable world. Sectors such as renewable energy are going to expand in the near future and we have to be ready for it​.”
