The BantamPro ELS model occupies similar floor space on the packaging line as hand pack operations but with the added benefit of fully automatic performance, it said.
The packer accommodates RSC cases and automatically performs multiple packaging operations, including case erecting, loading, and sealing sections.
It is features a robotic loading pick-and-place module designed in collaboration with Schneider Electric. The interchangeable robot modules can be programmed to deliver desired cycle rates and payload capacities.
Product payloads
With the standard robot module, the BantamPro is capable of 10 or 20 picks per minute and product payloads up to 20lbs. But replacing the gantry with a two axis ELAU delta robot lifts capacities to 50 picks per minute and more than 50lbs.
The incorporation of advanced servo technology is said to minimise the machine`s electrical cabinet requirements. The machine-ready cabinet is a standard module regardless of how many servos are added for robots or custom product infeeds, according to the company.
Constructed with a continuous welded frame for long service life, the BantamPro is backed by the same warranty package offered on higher speed Brenton case packers.
Contract packers
Scott Leuschke, the company’s vice president of sales, said: “The new case packer is a good solution for contract packers, specialty product makers, limited time offers and new product launches."
“Its ideal for anyone facing the dilemma of adding to their labour expense or investing capital in more throughput than they really need. We have an innovative partnership with our automation collaborator, Schneider Electric, to provide customers with a standard and modular machine.”
In addition to case packers, Brenton, part of Pro Mach Inc based in the United States, also produces shrink wrappers, palletizers, and robotic solutions for most end-of-line packaging and material handling needs.
