It also sent 25 per cent of its staff to view privately run milk stations around the country.
Company executive Zhang Jianqui told journalists during a press visit to the firm’s processing and packaging facilities at Hohhot, central northern China that: “We hope you can see that we are very strict with our quality. Problems did occur with our products but that was a very limited few and we are doing everything we can to clean it up.”
Meanwhile, dairy producers in central northern China are to receive 180m yuan (€20.4m) subsidies from the Inner Mongolian regional government to compensate them for plummeting sales, added the agency.
