Nalco announces global price rises

19-Apr-2012

Nalco said it has increased prices for all it industrial water and process service segments because of hikes in raw material costs.

The company, which was taken over by Ecolab last year, said global prices would rise by between 5% and 15%, according to country and product. The price increase was effective immediately or as existing contracts allow, said a statement from Nalco Water and Process Services division.

“Significant increase in key raw materials costs, combined with other global inflationary factors such as rising energy and transportation costs” were behind the move, it said.
