A newly enhanced Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) website provides information on HACCP as well as a section on ‘legislation’ which has links to all the Irish and international food acts and regulation, claims the safety agency.

The FSAI said the site also has improved navigation tools, while the homepage contains a ‘feedback form’ and ‘make a complaint’ functionality to enable the agency, it claims, participate in two-way interaction with users and obtain feedback from stakeholders.

Edel Conway, information manager at the FSAI, said the site is updated and monitored on a daily basis and is designed to provide users with all the information they need in relation to food safety in a quick and efficient manner.

“Last year, 71 per cent of visits to our website were from Ireland, but we also had visits from the UK (10 per cent), US (4 per cent) and France, Germany, Canada, Netherlands and Belgium (1 per cent each),’” she commented.
