Traditional pneumatic control involves a complex arrangement of valves, actuators, flow controls and sensors, often requiring up to 13 components for each actuator function. These multifaceted arrangements present several intrinsic disadvantages and performance constraints – systems can be problematic to maintain and repair, as well as difficult to clean – key in hygiene-critical food and beverage operations where contamination must be kept at bay.
Working in partnership with customers, Norgren – an international market leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control technologies – has developed IVAC (integrated valve and actuator control) to solve these issues by combining the valve, flow controls, cushioning and sensors in a single package. Norgren’s webinar will explain how IVAC cuts energy and installation costs, reduces air consumption and minimises downtime for cleaning and maintenance – and how customers are enjoying Engineering Advantage through using IVAC for a host of different applications in varying sectors.
