Avery Dennison has opened a new adhesives research and testing centre in the US.

The 24,500-square foot (2276 sq metre) Adhesives Center of Excellence site in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania expands the existing R&D facility and brings the company’s adhesive researchers under one roof.

“Our company was founded on an innovative use of adhesives, and we’re dedicated to remaining the innovation leader in this space,” said Dave Edwards, vice president and chief technology officer for Avery Dennison.

The goal of the centre is to create products that offer new functionality and are more sustainable, said the firm.

It added Mill Hall would continue as one of the company’s main adhesives manufacturing centres.
