Currier Plastics is to invest $20.8m in a new production and storage facility in New York to meet market demand.
The 55,000 square foot facility will utilize $1m in Excelsior tax credits and a $750,000 Economic Transformation Grant from Empire State Development with completion targeted for 2013.
Due to capacity constraints at its current location, the company was unable to take advantage of market opportunities for its products, the firm said.
The custom blow and custom injection moulding manufacturer will purchase $12.5m in new machinery and equipment over the next five years.
The firm manufacturers plastic bottles and canisters through blow molding and closures and lids by injection molding.
