In the first of a series of podcasts called ‘lunch time bites’, FoodProductionDaily catches up with Laura Croisdale, environmental officer, Encore Packaging Solutions, to talk about her Three Peaks Challenge for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The firm, which is based in Washington, Tyne & Wear, UK, produces over 3bn packaging items per year including corrugated and solid board boxes.

Laura Croisdale

As part of her role, Croisdale looks after everything to do with the environment from energy and waste management to environmental accreditations such as ISO14001, supply chain, continuous improvement and compliance with environmental legal requirements.

She joined 13 friends to climb Ben Nevis (1,344m), in Scotland, Scafell Pike (978m), in the Lake District, and Snowdon (1,085m), Wales, within 24-hours on June 28 and 29.

The team completed the challenge in 23 hours, 49 minutes and has so far raised £1,805.
