ExxonMobil has developed tougher upgrades to its line of lubricating greases for food and beverage processing equipment.

In an attempt to boost productivity, many processors are using faster and larger machines to increase the speed of output. Faster machines produce more heat and have increased wear and tear, resulting in a demand for tougher food-grade lubricants.

ExxonMobil says its Mobilgrease FM 220 series meet the latest food industry standards, and also provide protection for today's advanced food processing equipment.

"Formulated with aluminum complex thickener technology, Mobilgrease FM 220 series offer pumpability, water and fluid resistance, mechanical shear stability, and rust inhibition,"the company stated.

The greases protect against wide range of load, speed, temperature and environmental conditions, the company claims.

The Mobilgrease FM 220 series of greases will replace the Mobilgrease FM 100 series of greases, which will be discontinued.
