Rowe’s Cornish Bakers says its Falmouth factory will be fully operational again in a ‘short space of time,’ after a fire at the facility.
The fire, which occurred late on Friday evening, will not affect any of the UK bakery’s customers, the company said.
“We have been able to view the damage and can confirm the fire has been contained to a small area of the building,” the company said in a statement.
Gratitude to fire crews
“Rowe’s Bakery would like to express their gratitude to the fire crews who attended the incident. Without their efforts the results could have been far worse.”
There were no casualties in the blaze. The fire service is yet to complete its investigations, but there are no suggestions of suspicious activity surrounding the fire, the company added.
Rowe’s Cornish Bakers sells products including pasties, savouries and bread.
